Tour de France
The first week of the 2018 Tour de France has seen the peloton head deeper into the Alps. Stages 11 and 12 will feature two back-to-back summit finishes. The climbers will tackle the Col du Telegraphe and the Col du Galibier before finishing on the Alpe d’Huez. The final stage, which will take the riders up the Col du Granon, will see the sprinters close out the race.

Spanish grand tour rider confirms he will stay with Spain’s lone WorldTour team for three more seasons
A new signing for the Spanish lone WorldTour team has confirmed that the rider who will race in 2022 will be Mikel Nieve. The 14-year-old rode for the amateur category for three years from 2004 to 2007. After that, he raced for 13 seasons in the WorldTour, split between Euskaltel Euskadi, Team Sky, and BikeExchange. He will now join the team as a mentor for the young talents who will soon be riding in his footsteps.

Another rider extending his contract is Spanish Juan Felipe Osorio. The 26-year-old had been suspended from the Gazprom RusVelo team because of a lack of training. Osorio has been on the market for a new team and is eager to sign a new contract. He will now join Oscar Sevilla, who has recently extended his deal with the Colombian team.
