The Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) was established on 15 August 2002, and is located in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Initially, the Rajendra Medical College and Hospital was established in 1960. The RIMS is an autonomous body that was established by an act of the Jharkhand Assembly. The RIMS campus is a multi-story building with 33 departments. Some of these departments are orthopedics, pathology, forensic medicine, dermatology, neurosurgery, and ENT. The institute has a campus spread across 214 acres with a modern 1500-bed multispecialty hospital, 10 bedded Oncology unit, and 14 bedded Trauma centre.
